The Language School

Study Spanish in the vibrant seaside city of Malaga, Spain. We welcome students of all levels to our Spanish language school, which is open year-round and emphasizes training suited to individual needs. A multitude of high-quality Spanish language courses are offered, such as intensive, super-intensive, combined, private tuition, D.E.L.E and tailor-made for special purposes.

Malaga Si provides a professional study atmosphere in a relaxed setting. The school is housed in a genuine Andalusian building with spacious classrooms and a fully equipped computer learning lab with access to the Internet. A lush garden with a swimming pool surrounds the building, and only 100 meters away, the sea and the wide expanse of beach offer sun and bathing.

The Spanish Courses

General Spanish Courses

Intensive Spanish

20 lessons per week. Practicing all aspects of the language from grammar to vocabulary with the main emphasis on speaking, 4 classes a day in a group.

Super Intensive Spanish

25 or 30 lessons per week. Intensive course plus 2 extra classes a day to go into more detail on what has been previously learnt.

Semi Intensive Spanish

10 or 15 lessons per week. Two classes a day concentrating on the essentials of the language.

Combined Spanish Course

An intensive course plus one individual private class with one of our teachers each day.

Private Intensive Spanish

Four private/individual classes each day with one of our members of staff.

Private Super Intensive Spanish

As with the private intensive but with six daily classes instead of four.

Specific Courses

Spanish for Tourism and Hotel Management

Intensive course plus one special class each day about the world of tourism (vocabulary, tourism in Spain, role plays of situations in hotels and travel agencies, customer care, tourist guides, web pages etc.).

DELE Official Exam preparation Course

This is a course of 20 lessons a week for the students that are preparing themselves for the DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) exam of the Cervantes Institute. This course focuses on the five different components of the exam: grammar and vocabulary, reading comprehension, written expression, audio comprehension and oral expression and interaction. We offer this course for all available levels.

Spanish for Business and Certificate for Business Spanish

This is a course of 20 lessons a week that teaches you everything you need to know about Spanish for business. Human resources, marketing and publicity, sales and purchasing, import and export, the chamber of commerce, the bank, the stock exchange and taxes, technical terms and the formulas and style of communicating within the Spanish commercial world.

Spanish Teacher Training

This is a course of 25 lessons a week especially designed for Spanish teachers who do not work in Spain and for associations and institutes who train Spanish teachers. The five daily lessons are divided in 2 lessons of Spanish, 2 theory lessons about how to teach Spanish and 1 lesson about the Spanish culture. An additional extracurricular activity program completes all this.

Selectividad (University Entrance Exam) / Curso de Estudios Hispanicos

This is for students who wish to study in a Spanish University so they will need an upper-intermediate / advanced level of Spanish before the course begins. Course covers all aspects of Spanish language, literature and history needed for success in taking the official humanities exam to enroll in a Spanish University.

Intensive Plus Courses

Intensive Spanish + Flamenco or Salsa

Intensive course plus four practical classes from expert teachers on the arts of dancing flamenco or salsa.

Hispanic Culture

You will be able to learn a lot about different aspects of Hispanic cultures.

Cooking Classes

Preparation of Spanish dishes: paella, tapas...

Spanish History

Intensive Spanish courses plus a selection of interesting subjects related to Spanish History and Culture.

Pedro Almodovar's Movies

Spanish + Golf

There is a golf course quite close to the school. There are several other golf courses within car distance. Andalusia has no less than 67 golf courses and 54 golf clubs.

Junior Program

Extensive academic and social program.

Students participate in 15 hours of Spanish classes a week as well as an extensive program of sports and cultural activities in the afternoon- 3 lessons of 45 min each a day in the morning 10.20 – 12.50 - Sports, Social and Cultural Activities 12.50 -14.00, 16.30-19.30 - Lunch between 14.00 – 16.30

Accommodation in Spanish families full board.

Course includes:

- 15 hours tuition per week Monday to Friday- Full sports and activities programme in the afternoons. 3 hours a day Monday to Friday- 1 full day excursion every two weeks- 1 evening activity per week- 1 half-day every two weeks- Full Board host family or residence accommodation- Airport transfer return

- Certificate of attendance on completion on the course

Objectives of the Programme:

- To study and for the students to enjoy themselves, both inside and outside the classroom, experiencing a new adventure everyday.- To learn the basis of what makes a team player through the participation in classroom, sports and cultural activities.- To learn Spanish and enjoy spending time in Málaga visiting various parts of the city.- To enhance the student’s ability to handle daily tasks without the support and protection of their parents

Mini Modules

Here at Malaga Sí we believe that your language course is just one part of the varied and extensive package offered to our students. That’s why next to our activities programme we are launching a series of optional mini modules which students can take part in every day and are included in the cost of their course. You will be able to perfect a specific part of your Spanish, learn about Picasso and Spanish film, as well as more about Spain and Latin America.
