The Language School

Our school in Jacó is located just 7 blocks from the beach in a pleasant residential neighborhood. You’ll find everything you need —restaurants, grocery stores, calling & Internet centers, drugstores, bicycle shops and more— within walking distance. The building is a typical Costa Rican house with a 900 m2 tropical garden, terrace and small swimming pool. Facilities include 4 indoor classrooms, an outdoor patio used for classes, 3 bathrooms and a kitchen area. Students have free Internet access from 9:30 am to 2 pm. Minimum student age: 16 when traveling alone, 14 when traveling with a group and 10 when taking a course with a parent.

The Spanish Courses

Intensive Spanish Group Course: 20 lessons per week

This classic program is a general Spanish course that covers all the fundamental linguistic and cultural skills. You are guaranteed personal attention with a small class size: maximum 8 students per learning group across the board, and less in many destinations.

One-on-One Spanish Course: 10 individual lessons per week.

If you want to optimize your study time and enjoy a fully personalized method of teaching, this course is the best option. The minimum duration is one 55-minute class per week (for less than 20 lessons per week, each lesson will cost 19 USD) and you can decide the schedule and content of the program. Within a short period of time, you will begin to learn Spanish through an individualized course of study in grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing and vocabulary. It is also possible to introduce a particular topic or interest, provided that we have adequate notice before the class’s starting date.

With the One on One program, we offer you a special deal: take private classes with 1 or 2 friends who have the same level of Spanish and we’ll reduce the course price.

Classes outside the school can be arranged.

One on one classes are not available during June and July
