Learn Spanish in Guanajuato Mexico

The Language School

Our school in Guanajuato is located near the city center, at a 15-minute walk from the most important historical and cultural sites of interest. You’ll find everything you need in the vicinity, such as restaurants, pharmacies and shops. It’s a traditional Mexican-style building set around a central patio along with 16 colorful classrooms, a common student’s area, wi-fi and a multimedia room. Minimum student age: 17 years old.

The Spanish Courses

Intensive Spanish Group Course: 20 Spanish + 5 culture lessons per week

This classic program is a general Spanish course that covers all the fundamental linguistic and cultural skills. You are guaranteed personal attention with a small class size: maximum 8 students per learning group across the board, and less in many destinations.

Super Intensive Spanish Group Course: 30 Spanish + 5 culture lessons per week

If you're interesting in maximizing your time abroad in Latin America, this program is a great option. It's a highly effective way to improve your Spanish skills quickly: you'll enjoy the best of a small group setting with the added benefit of personalized attention.

Part Time Spanish Group Course: 10 Spanish + 5 culture lessons per week

Premium Spanish Courses

While our normal Intensive Spanish Courses in Guanajuato and Playa del Carmen include five weekly cultural lessons, our premium Spanish programs are geared towards those students who want to focus their studies entirely on the linguistic side of Spanish. You can choose from several premium Spanish course options, each of which has different characteristics depending on your desired intensity and course load.

Premium Intensive Spanish: 20 group lessons per week

Premium Intensive Spanish +: 20 group + 5 one on one lessons per week

Premium Super Intensive Spanish : 20 group + 10 one on one lessons per week

Premium Super Spanish Immersion: 20 group + 15 one on one lessons per week

One-on-One Spanish Classes: 1, 5, 10 or 20+ lessons per week

Private lessons are, without a doubt, the best way to make the most of your time studying Spanish abroad. The personal one-on-one attention will inevitably lead you to learn faster and more effectively than in group classes.

Your teacher will identify the best learning strategies for you, as well as integrate the topics and focuses you wish to address. If you want to learn Spanish for a particular academic or professional field or simply have goals you need to meet, then this is the course for you. All levels are available, starting every Monday of the year.

DELE Exam Preparation: 2, 3, or 4 weeks

Volunteer Program: Program available after a 4-week intensive course and for a minimum duration of 4 weeks

Want to take your Spanish skills and put them to use in the community around you? Sign up to volunteer and enjoy an intensive 4-week Spanish program followed by 4 weeks of volunteering in the destination of your choice.

The Volunteer Abroad Programs provide an unparalleled opportunity to practice Spanish in real-life situations and get to know the local cultures and people on a deeper level. The required first month of classes is designed for you to feel comfortable with the language and culture that surrounds you. Living with a host family, learning to communicate in Spanish and getting to know your new community makes the volunteer project one month later all the more enjoyable and rewarding.

This program is available all year round for every Spanish level.

Teachers of Spanish Course (group & individual available): 2 weeks

Looking for the perfect guacamole recipe? Want to know how a true Mexican taco is made? Then sign up for our cooking class in Mexico! We combine all the necessary ingredients for you to improve your Spanish skills and simultaneously discover Mexican culture.

This course consists of a morning Intensive Spanish Course (20 Spanish + 5 culture lessons per week) combined with two 1-hour cooking lessons in the afternoon. Starting every Monday, all year round, for all levels and ages.

This course focuses on the connection between Mexico's history and its geography, festivals, gastronomy, politics, folklore, customs and more.
