The Language School

LSI Paris is situated in the historical heart of the city, close to the Louvre, the world's largest museum, the Opera and the Saint-Honore district: the Mecca of luxury shopping. The school is easily accessible by Metro as it is served by several routes. Close by you will find a variety of shops and cafes.

Situated in a lively district, the school is on the second floor of a listed eighteenth century building enjoying a calm environment. The classrooms are bright and modern, and a reception hall allows the students to meet and make new acquaintances over a cup of coffee.

You will continue to practice your French outside of the classroom through the various guided visits to sights and cultural events organized by the school. We provide you with information about concerts, theatre shows and other events throughout your stay.

The French Courses

General and Examination Courses

Standard French

A course with 20 lessons per week, covering all aspects of the language from pronunciation to grammar and vocabulary to practice in the four skills.

During the lessons you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines.

Intensive French

The LSI Intensive 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve a much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well rounded insight into the language and country. Students on the LSI Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for Standard 20 in the morning. The afternoon classes further intensify the tuition and consolidate what you have learnt, through fluency practice and a comprehensive review of the culture and customs of your host country.

Afternoon French Course

A course with 10 lessons per week suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet
