The Language SchoolThe school is in a modern building and is centrally located, just minutes away from Parliament Hill, the National Arts Centre, ByWard Market and the Sparks Street Mall. There is a cafeteria for the students to use in the basement of our building. We are also a short walk from many coffee shops, a large shopping centre and the large public library. The Ottawa school is smaller while providing the same facilities as the other Centre Linguista schools. The school has a student lounge with free high-speed computer access. They also have access to the classrooms from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday for study time. The school has a friendly intimate environment that welcomes all cultures. The team includes a variety of helpful teachers who are always willing give a student the extra attention they need. Our staff are here to address a variety of services that range from the administrative details to any medical insurance inquiries. Our Homestay Coordinator is always willing to help our students find a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Our Registrar and Activities Coordinator will assist our students in getting settled into the school and get familiar with the city of Ottawa by planning after school activities.
The English CoursesMini Group Intensive English Courses (25 hours per week)This course is designed to deliver maximum improvement in English in the fastest possible time. Available every week of the year, and to students of all abilities from beginner to advanced, this highly structured program is designed to give students the skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed exams, or in their present or future occupation. The course consists of 25 hours of lessons per week in small classes of 10 participants maximum. Morning: Core language skills development program. Combination English Courses (30 hours per week)Students can choose to take the Intensive 25 course together with an additional hour of individual tuition every day. This course combines the advantages of learning in a structured group situation (maximum 10 students) for 25 hours each week, with the benefits of highly personalized attention in 5 hours of individual coaching each week.
