Programa de Estudio y Trabajo con ILSC en Montreal

El Programa Estudio y Trabajo Remunerado es un programa especialiado que combina Curso Académico de inglés en modalidad intensiva con Práctica Remunerada en el campo laboral canadiense. El Programa se ofrece con duración de 6, 12, 18 o 24 meses, manejando el 50% de la duración del programa en Curso Académico y 50% de la duración del programa en Práctica Remunerada.

En el programa, durante el tiempo del Curos Académico estudiarás Inglés mediante toda nuestra variedad de cursos.

Estos cursos están diseñados para prepararte en el mundo laboral canadiense. La ultima parte del programa es la Practica Remunerada.

Programa de Estudio y Trabajo con GEOS en Montreal

International students will experience a real Canadian work environment, improving their French skills in a communicative way. The candidate will develop their communication skills while gaining valuable work experience. The program offers an exiting way to learn French and immerse students in Canadian culture.

The program helps students get paid positions within the service industries. From the beginning of the program GEOS will provide students support in job placement and preparation until the program ends.

Job placement in the Metro area: hotels, restaurants, local resorts, retail shops, museums, tour companies and travel destinations in general. These places offer fun and exciting ways to live and work.

Pay rate: The general guideline would be starting from CAN$8.00 to CAN$10.00 per hour.

Positions offered at resorts include: guest services, retail shops, housekeeping, food & beverage service, maintenance, front-desk reception and more. Students can live and work at these resorts for a whole season or two seasons and meet people from other parts of the globe.

*All required training will be provided at the resort. Staff housing for summer and winter resort job placements is available at some resorts if employment starts at the beginning of the season, but may not be available if employment begins in the middle or at the end of the season.

Note: The work period must be shorter or equal to the study period.

NOTE Please note that students interested in these programs must be 19 years old and must have valid Canadian Study and Work Permits (Co-op Permit) or Working Holiday Visa.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
• Students must enroll in a GEOS CEP / CFP Full-Time or Intensive English/French Program for a minimum of 12 weeks.
• Students must be at least 19 years of age.
• Students cannot work more than the study length of their program.
• The student has to complete their study program before starting the work program portion.
• The student cannot work while they are in the study program.
• The student will receive 10 workshops. The workshops cover relevant topics such as: resume writing, interview practice, workplace culture and office skills.
• The student is assigned to a position and location by GEOS or introduced to our partner agency.
• The program is offered year-round and students can start any Monday.
• If a student wants to work at a resort, GEOS Canada recommends that the student starts with the French program in the spring (February to May) and start their job in the summer. Alternatively, the student can start the French program in the summer/fall (July to September) and then start work in the winter.
